Exotic Cars: Supercars, Requirements and Costs

Exotic rental fleets are built around low-volume, high-performance vehicles: mid-engine supercars such as the Ferrari 296 or Lamborghini Huracán, and grand tourers such as the Aston Martin Vantage or McLaren GT.

These vehicles prioritise acceleration, sound and presence over practicality, and are typically rented for a specific drive, event or short escape rather than everyday transport.

• Full driving licence held for at least one to three years, often with a clean record
• Security deposit typically $2,500–$10,000, held on a credit card
• Insurance excess or deductible often $2,000–$7,500 unless reduced-excess cover is purchased
• A second form of identification and proof of address in some markets

Most exotic rentals include a daily mileage allowance of roughly 100–150 miles, with an overage charge commonly between $3 and $10 per additional mile. Higher-mileage or unlimited packages are sometimes available for an additional daily fee and are worth requesting for road-trip itineraries.

Delivery to a hotel, villa or private airport is widely available and often included within a city, with a fee scaling by distance beyond that radius. Vehicles are usually inspected on delivery and again on collection, with photographs taken to document existing condition.
